About the faculty

The Faculty of Interior Design is one of the eight faculties of Danang Architecture University and runs the bachelor's programme in Interior Design (7580108).

The programme began within Applied Fine Arts in 2007 and was one of the first in Vietnam to train interior designers. Since 2019 the curriculum has been redesigned against the standards of NAAB (United States) and CIDA, and it is accredited by an education quality assurance centre under the Ministry of Education and Training.

Students learn by doing: 65–70% of courses are applied practice, every semester brings a new spatial design studio, and the work is presented to lecturers and companies.

Mission and vision

  • Mission

To educate application-oriented bachelors of Interior Design who can design spaces for living, working and rest from concept to technical drawings, with responsibility towards the community and the environment — contributing to Danang Architecture University's mission of developing high-quality human resources ready for international integration.

  • Vision to 2030

To become a respected school of interior design with a curriculum to international standards, digital technology built into the design process and close ties with industry — growing alongside the University into a smart, application-oriented university.

  • Designing for the community

The Community Internship and Community Design courses involve students in projects that serve society.

  • Workshops and competitions

Workshops on materials and surface techniques, and design, photography and drawing competitions on and off campus.
